Good credit scores and high debt go together in New England New Englanders carry about 34% more debt than other areas of the country. On average they have $13,566 of debt. The rest of the country averages just over $10,000 in debt. New Englanders also have the highest credit score average, the highest average monthly payments ($575) and the fewest late payments!
