Bank repossesson error results in jury award for victim If the bank tries to repossess your car after you've already paid off the loan, that's a big mistake. If the bank fails to remove the erroneous repossession from your credit report, that's a big mistake too. I this case, a jury awarded a woman $500,000 in damages.
